TERROIR OF VIGNA CASTEL RINGBERG

The altitude of the vineyard, located between 330 and 400 meters above sea level, creates an optimal microclimate for the production of wines with a distinctive character. The mild climate of Lake Caldaro is complemented by the cool night breezes and the strong southern afternoon wind "Ora," which brings dry air to the vineyard. The extreme care taken in tending the vineyard, with a strong respect for nature, and the deliberately low yields contribute to making the "Castel Ringberg" vineyard a cradle of exceptional wines.

VINIFICATION

The grapes get picked at optimum maturity and are crushed and pressed immediately. Fermentation takes place in French oak barriques with partial malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 10 months on its lees while regularly being stirred up (battonage). The wine is the bottle-aged for several months before being released.

TASTING

The Chardonnay Riserva Vigna “Castel Ringberg” is multi-layered and complex with pronounced minerality. On the palate, the wine captivates with a unique interplay of freshness and power, an elegant structure, a juicy, mineral vein paired with creamy richness and harmonious balance, as well as a long, refreshing finish.
